go great with grilled brats...
For those summer days when it’s too hot to cook in the kitchen. For that list of excuses to heat up the grill. For fire’s sake, from farm to face.
30 Minutes, Serves 2-4
-1 large head of broccoli, sliced lengthwise down the stem several times to form long spears
-1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
-2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
-1 small lemon, cut in half
-2 cloves garlic, minced
-1 tsp paprika
-1 tsp fennel seed, crushed
Get your grill nice and hot. If broiling, turn your broiler on high.
In a bowl, mix the oil, vinegar, half of the lemon juice, garlic, paprika, and fennel seed.
Add the broccoli spears and get them well coated. Sprinkle with salt.
Grill or broil (in a baking dish on the top rack) for eleven-ish minutes or until the treetops get crispy. Turn them periodically for even charring.
On your serving dish, give the brocs a drizzle of olive oil and another sprinkle of salt to taste. Keep the fresh half of the lemon handy for a zesty kick. Grilled brocs go great with grilled brats.
